Fernando "Fern Dogg" Garcia

Fernando Garcia (a.k.a. Fern Dogg) who runs The Corner Pocket billiard in Oxnard on the corner of A & 7th Street. Garcia served in the Army for the United States and even becoming a European Boxing champion in the armed forces. There is a small boxing gym on the second level of the Corner Pocket that many don’t know about, and has held boxing gathering and events there in the past. I got to meet him about a year ago on my last trip to Oxnard. We tossed ideas around on what kind of things can be done to make boxing big again in Oxnard. I know with his passion for the sport, he will do something soon. Thank you for all you do for our local community!
